Jose, That was totally awesome! I loved it.

Glen Elliott January 7th, 2010 08:08 PM

Solid work man- last? What are you switching to? Or did you only mean last for 2009?

No!
We love our XHa1 cameras from day one. Best for the money as we all know.
We usually try to shoot 100% Xha1 weddings or %100 Canon SLR wedding. We don't like to mix the footage of SLR with XHA1. That was the last work for 2009. We are still shooting in 2010 with XHA1.

Excellent work!

Hey Dimitris
Thanks!

Ahh- ditto man. Maybe even into 2011-12. We'll see!

Nice work Jose! Great selection of soundbites to tell the story and nice steadicam work.

Jose Ortiz January 8th, 2010 12:53 PM

Hey John
Thank you for your comment.

PS
Santa FE is one of our favorite places to visit for vacation. Hopefully one these days we'll have honor of shooting in that beautiful area.

After watching this I'm almost convinced that multicam is the only way to really make a great wedding highlight. That venue was awesome!

Jose Ortiz January 10th, 2010 07:47 AM

Thanks you Martin
You can have 6 cameras in one wedding but if you just shoot without thinking in the story that you want to bring to the viewer it would do the same work of one camera or worst.
I'm not going to lie, multi-cameras helps to get more footage and improve the quality.

This following video was done with one 5D and one 7D for the ceremony. The 7D was just for back up at the ceremony and the first couple reaction before ceremony. I was the only shooter and one friend to help to move and swap equipment. I think the highlights are very good without the need of multiple cameras.

In top of that was an SDE video. since we were just hired to film until the ceremony we came with the challenge to do our first same day edit. Too much stress for just me and a lot of respect to all those people like Patrick from stillmotion who can do this thing sometimes just him.
I don't know if I will do it again!
hehe!

Jose Ortiz January 11th, 2010 07:35 PM

Thanks Cody

Michael Ojjeh January 11th, 2010 09:54 PM

Job well done Jose on both videos,
If you have to pick between SLR and the XHA1, what would it be , And why ?
