Caroline & Steve - My second wedding trailer attempt.. opinion please :)

Hey guys,

This is my second attempt at making wedding trailer. This time is a bit different as the couple already had a main videographer and only wanted me to make them a trailer during wedding & reception night (hence no preparation clips).

It definitely reduces my stress as I don't need to be fully recording all day. However, I constantly need to watch out with the main videographers camera as I don't want to ruin his footages as well, which is challenging as I wasn't able to get the best angles on some occassion.

But here it is. The song was chosen by the couple. I wasn't a big fan of Celine Dion but I think it works in this video. :)

Tools are (very basic lenses but we've upgraded for next project :) ):

Canon EOS 7D
Canon EOS 550D
Canon 18-135mm f3.5-5.6
Tamron 17-50mm f2.8
indiSlider

Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Good work.

Perhaps you could avoid filming the other camera operator. There are a few shots where the other cameraman is in the frame.

I also have difficulty with placing my second camera at certain venues...

Hi Johannes,

Some moments in there buddy!

- white balance is too warm during ceremony
- some nice slider revealing moves
- do you have tripod/monopod? some shots are too shaky during ceremony.
- try to do some panning to subject or tilting down/up to subject next time to have a bit more variation to the shots. It can be useful in the editing when you have those shots.
- About the song.. emm... yeah... its kinda old... we now only choose songs from our song selection just because we want to keep everything in sync to our style. Maybe you could look into that approach too :)

Keep it up mate

Santo

Hi Santo. Thanks for the input! I was on monopod most of the time but didn't use it quite effectively to reduce the shakiness. It's a lesson learnt that I'll hopefully improve on.

About the song.. yes maybe I'll try your approach. This was my second client so I was trying as much as I can to keep them happy ie. using their song selection.

Cheers mate!
