I thought is was very nicely done! Good job! The intro with the rain was a nice touch. Very nice they didn't seem to mind the handheld mic for the ceremony. And I liked that you did the ceremony first and followed with the rest of the footage.

Bellissimo. How many ways are there to say it? Your footage looked SO good, and I"m sure you must be very pleased, I would be, and your customer will certainly be!

Re: My first wedd film with DSLR

Actually, there are too many great shots to list, I am in awe, sir. Your glidecam shots were superb, IMO.

I know you asked for a critique, but as I cannot shoot with your skill, I cannot possibly offer any criticism. Your exposure was set perfectly for some difficult situations, and you captured honest, spontaneous moments that were a joy to watch.

It did not hurt that your subjects were good looking, so I'd say you have a really great demo here!

Re: My first wedd film with DSLR

That's certainly a great video. Excellent! Let's face it, great videos have to have great music, as this one does. Take away great music and you have something less great. I guess I would like to know how I can use music like that to produce a better work without violating copyright laws in the US. I haven't investigated this subject in a few months, but last time I looked I didn't find an answer. Thanks.

Re: My first wedd film with DSLR

what is the opening song name? Also when the second song starts by republic, what transitions do you use to get that fast motion?

Dan,

I do not recommend mixing images from another camera that is not dslr, the difference is clear. I do quite often is to use a NX5 to make shots from the party, that's what happened with this film. from 04:33 until the end was used NX5.
