1st trailer - comments?
 

I shot a friend's wedding a couple of months ago, and shortly thereafter made a trailer to keep them happy until I can do the full video.

If you care to take a look, I would love to get criticism and feedback on how to improve things. I'm sure a lot of the ideas can be incorporated into the full video.

I liked it. You might consider getting to the wedding aspects a bit sooner. I didn't quite get all those cars and trains at the beginning. Btw, what Star Trek convention did the bride and groom meet at?

Did you do an color correction? Adjusting gamma, brightness and contrast may make it look better.

I did run the whole thing through Color and touch up each shot, so I'm sure the only problem is my inexperience in knowing what things are supposed to look like.

I'm not sure what NLE you use. But I do think that you can give the whole video more pop by increasing the contrast level and make it slightly warmer by playing with the color correction tools. It look a bit pale and washed out to me. :)

I saw an issue with the shot of the reception table settings. After the fade from black, you can see the camera moving down and then it tilts back up to show the room. I don't believe this was intended?

There might have been too many environmental shots in the beginning.

Since you said this is a trailer you did prior to working on the whole video, then I can't say much about the shot selections. There are probably good shots that you have not gone thru. For example, the shot of the cake was kind of awkward because the cam only showed the bottom two layers and then it cut to the next scene.

Other than that, the composition you have are pretty good.
