Hi Brian,

I like the laughter yet I suggest you look a bit more for the ideal shot. Here's some possible issues:

1. The shot centers on a toast (alcohol)

2. The lighting on the bride is blown out and has shadows

3. The background is a bit busy behind the groom

4. The blur filter isn't feathered uniformly across the border

5. The brown background behing the groom has an odd vertical line that looks like a Photoshop layer problem

Brian it also looks "stock". Very flat, almost like a scanned print. Do you have any photogs you've worked with that could donate some pics to you for a credit? That might be a little more personal, and set up a good theme...

I like this photo for a second page or something. I do like the laughter. Speaking for myself however, I think you could do a none face photo and drive your 'wedding' impression home. I'm about change mine up again to something that is still without faces. To me, people are interested in your videos, so that's where they may see photo's from other weddings. I'm probably thinking too much.

Here's another one. I need to whiten the dress a bit...

Yes, this shot definitely has character, depending on what message you're trying to send (consider the psychological impact and mood...) I especially like the composition - nice contract and shadowing - you could even use a blur filter to give the bride a halo effect.

Hopefully you can do something to fix the framing/symmetry so her head isn't squeezed near the top of the pix. You don't necessarily need to follow the rule of thirds yet subliminally I don't think you want to put equal focus on the dress as the bride at the expense of depositioning her face - save those shots when the subject has so-so appearance.

2nd shot good. 1st shot has a touch too much fromage for me.

Can I suggest a photo like this as it shows that you're capable of diversity with your business.

From a photo perspective, that 2nd shot is pretty terrible. It looks very flat, it has exposure issues, the tonig job is pretty rough and it really has no energy or life to it.

Actually I've been thinking of niching. This just might be the niche I've been looking for and my new super duper wide angle adapter will help meet the unique needs of this sub market.
