Hey guys,

Here's a trailer for a wedding I shot this past October. It's on youtube in low res, but let me know what you guys think.

I'm looking to work with an established Wedding Video company for next summer. I'm working a sporting event contract until july, but after that I'm wide open. I've shot a couple weddings now, but I don't think I'm ready to run a wedding video company myself yet.

Hey Chris,
Working with a well established Event Videography company is one of the best decisions you can make. You will learn many things during that transition and you will see your skills mature and your eye start to see things you wouldn't notice at this time during a event. There are numerous things I can point out in your clip which I will leave for others to say but one thing I will mention is that since you were shooting primarily from a tripod, you're going to have to get a good one. Those jerks trying to re-frame your shots were pretty bad, but that comes from not having a good tripod. Invest in one since you are going to be working with a established video company. They will help you iron out your skills and teach you how to use a camera but you also have to have good tools to the job well as a beginner. I say that cause I remember viewing a wedding highlight created from a cell phone video that Jason from the Philippines recorded which was a sight to behold. The tools are very important but the person behind the tools is the jewel. I wish you best of luck and can't wait to see what a year brings for you. Take Care

Just wanted to mention that the animation at the beginning is great. Once in a while people like to overdo the motion graphics, but it was quick, tasteful, and added a lot to the video.

I think your ability to mix up the shots and not just show them in order (like I have always felt I need to do!) shows some creativity.
The jump cuts from the dark indoor shots to the bright outdoor shots were a little distracting though.

I liked the song. Agree on the better tripod head and perhaps do some research on the rule of thirds. Next time you shoot, vary your POV.
Take the camera off the tripod for some shots, get creative!
