Idealistic Computer

Any idea what the perfect computer to purchase for an event filming business would be?

I will be upgrading from an ibook G4. I have only filmed/ edited as a hobby and I will be getting into event filming professionally/part time. What would be the best computer for the job? (I’m assuming that it will not be a laptop)
I’d like to stay with Apple, and I will also be upgrading to Final Cut Pro.

I’m a long time reader, first time poster. Any suggestions would be great!

I just had to make that decision a few weeks ago. You have to way your budget into the decision. I wanted to go with a new Mac Pro and be done with it but when I started adding up the cost for the ideal it got a little out of hand. I decided to go with the new iMac aluminum until business picked up enough to drop over $3500 on a Mac Pro. Don't get me wrong...if you have the dap to drop then do it. I've been pleased with the iMac so far. That's my two cents.
