Interview?

when doing engagement interviews, do you do them with the soon to be bride/groom are also in the room or do you seperate them and interview in private?

I am not sure if I would get better expressions if they were actually talking to the person they are talking about.

Experiences?

Denny:

I like to interview both together and seperate and mix the two. You kind of have to judge how well they might do apart from each other. Sometimes I get Bride or Grooms that are camera shy so I usually get a majority done together.

I prefer to interview them separately. When your at the function, they always get choked up. It adds a special magic you can't capture when they're together. You also get the essence of surprise when they first see the video. Always good for a few tears. That's my goal. If I can make them cry, I've done my job.
