Upbeat "Heroes" Songs!

Hey folks,

I'm looking for some upbeat, punchy songs about "heroes" to use for a corporate video I'm going to produce soon. Please let me know if anything comes to your mind. Song could be about superheroes or real life heros as long as it's upbeat/high energy. Thanks for a your help.

I've seen this genre in different online stock music catalogs. Some of them were pretty good and not too expensive to license.

Hello neighbor.

I don't know too much about your project, but there is one awesome song about the champions: "Stand Up" (for the champions) by Right Said Fred. Check it out.

Digital Juice has some of their StackTraxx on offer for 9.95 including some with that corporate, uplifting, hero sound.

how bout "We Don't Need Another Hero"..performed by Tina Turner on the Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome soundtrack..haha..that was a joke, but it could work depending on context!!

"My Hero" by the Foo Fighters is always a good one..inspirational and all that stuff..plus it rocks!

I could be wrong, but I don't think the original poster will be able to get proper clearances for most of the popular songs named above. That's why I suggested stock libraries. The DJ Stacktraxx that George mentioned would be one good source.

Thanks for the suggestions guys... appreciate your help!

Greg, you are right about me not able to get permission for most of the songs mentioned here. But the HR department of the company I'm doing this work for said that If I suggest a few songs, they might be able to get license for those songs. But I doubt they can get permission for all the songs. Some of them might cost them way too much. In case they can't get permission, I'm preparing music from royalty free libraries as well. As a matter fact I do own the corporate tracks from Digital Juice, which has some great music.

Besides these popular songs about heroes, does anyone know any songs about heroes composed by independent/small time artist? I might have a better chance on getting a release for those type of songs.

you're better off composing you're own music in garageband than paying for royalty free stuff, some of it's pretty lame.. I'm actually looking into how a freelance videographer could go about obtaining a license for commercial music. I am awaiting an answer from my department manager here at BMI.
