New Website from Rio de Janeiro

Hi Folks

It's by no means finished yet but please have a look at my website \ blog and let me know what you think.

www.danburnap.com

I'm particulary interested in how you found the wait for the videos to load and play.

Suggestions greatly appreciated

Thanks

Dan

a few things:

I think you should have your menu below your banner.

You should put all the videos in a separate page, not in the homepage

Not a fan of the "visitor location map"

thats all

Loading time of the video's were ok, don't know what plugin you use to display the flash video but there are plugins available that allow you to change the size of the video so it fits better with the width of your blog.

Just another question, why did you choose the rockinchrome theme? For a weddingsite it's a really basic theme and the black/grey combo is not very appealing. It reminds me a bit of the "made on a mac" kind of websites that all look alike with the black background but then using some kind of reflection to give it a classier look.

It really depends what you intent to use your site for, if it's only to display video and nothing else, the set-up you have is OK as you can have separate tabs for your pricing (or as i have seen here also called "investment") and info about yourself.

I'm more a fan of magazine like themes which give you the possibility to look like a regular website on front but with a blog or separate video and/or foto pages. Those are much more flexible and adjustable but are not always free.

So if you intent to stay with this theme I only suggest to put in a colorful background, if you get clients to visit your site you want to be sure they remember you.

the "visitor location map" is a nice addition if you have a regular blog but I would get rid of it when it's a business blog as it doesn't give any important info to clients.

Just my thoughts
