Ok, so I gave it a shot on Saturday, didn't make any promises but made it a surprise since it was my first effort. My only complaint for myself is that I only made it through the pre-service clips before I ran out of time. I wasn't able to put in cool clips from the actual ceremony but the crowd seemed to really enjoy it and were very impressed that the footage was from earlier in the day.
I can't wait to really edit the footage because the groom was great in front of the camera and the bride was beautiful.

Not really looking for critiques, just wanted to show what I pulled off in 50 minutes. Every time I watch it I find something different I don't like, or should have done, so please don't watch for bad stuff and the overuse of panning up and down...I'm really new at this stuff.

Used a HVR-V1U recorded in 1080i with the HDR-DR60 Harddrive.
Loaded the footage onto the laptop while I was tearing down to go to the reception...it loaded super quick...quite Impressed

Also liked to give props for ProPresenter (that's the program I used to show the crowd the video)


and one more thing...as the door opens for the bride to enter...instead of the wedding march, the groom pulls out a microphone and sings "I will always love you" by Josh Groban
It was awesome...and it helps that the groom can sing really well.

When I get all that finished I'll have to share at least the vocal.
