Wireless LAV died, should I do?
 
shot a ceremony and reception gig a couple weeks back. the lav on
my G2 died while he standing there waiting for her to come down. they
didn't say man vows, mostly the ring stuff. Even though I was tapped
into the house system, and the minister had a recorder, they can barely
be heard, and normalizing it, it sounds like junk. The groom is a musician,
and surely he would understand. Since they said so little, should I have them recut. or give it to them and explain when questioned and hope for the best?
What makes it worse is this took place outside.

Have you tried some kind of noise reduction on the sound that you do have? Check out Adobe Audition for that kind of thing. You can download a trial here that might let you fix this project:
