Appreciation Dinner

We're shooting one this weekend and were wondering if any of you have done these in the past and how you've approached it?

We're going to get establishing shots of the venue and guests and then pretty much documentary style of the speeches and toasts...and end with a montage, but we're just wondering if there is a better way or what the industry standard for something like this is these days!

Thanks!

Do you have use of / client paid for multiple cameras? Could be good to have a "speaker" cam and a "person being spoken about / appreciated" cam.

The "person being spoken about" cam can zip over to crowd shots if the speaker is rolling out the jokes and they are working.
