Wedding Video Clip

Hey guys. I finished this video clip a few days ago and wanted some feedback. Let me know what you think and any improvements you would recommend.

hmmmmm

I don't know, the music (IMO) is really really bad. It really seemed like crappy elevator music to me. I'm not sure if the footage was supposed to be underexposed and vignetted but I thought your mid tones could sure use some adjusting and I'd personally lay off the vignette a bit. The editing was kind of cool though. It definitely had your style and feel to it which I think is important. I really think that if you chose another song, the video would really take on a whole new meaning. Just my two cents.

I agree mostly. Editing is done nicely, but why is most of the footage so dark? I'm not such a fan of the coloring either.

I liked it, some nice creative editing there, good stedicam work, music unusual for a promo clip, but Hey why not : )
Vimeo makes videos look darker in encoding, I've noticed that.

I'll be honest -
change the music,
make it shorter (too long for the one location),
add some color,
go easy with vignetting,
good edit though, thanks for posting

Cool editing but terrible music in my opinion. I turned the sound down and watched it again with some different music in the background and it was way better.

The footage does seem a bit underexposed but it looked to me like the photographer wasn't doing you any favours positioning everyone in direct overhead sunlight.

Some nice steadicam following moves in there too.

Cheers,

Matthew.

I liked it! A brave shoot and a brave edit, though I guess you've got to know the couple pretty well to plonk this sort of compilation onto their TV screen. Great tracking shots and focus pulls, imaginative exposures and framing.

OK, I guess it was shot progressive or maybe that was just Vimeo making the huge number of camera movements so jerky. Not that this was a real concern in the grand scheme of things as the whole film was so wacky, but I'd still prefer more smoothness please.

I go with the cheeky-cheerful music, though I really feel it could be diluted somewhat by mixing in some live sound - especially when they all jump and so on. It's the human noises that keep it human.

tom.
