Samantha & Emir save the date (our first ever)

Hi everyone

We've done our first ever save the date video, we had lots of fun shooting it by the beach. I would love to hear some feedback what didn't or did work.

Just got done with a 13-hour wedding day, so I'm going to keep this short.

I loved most of the color grading; it was beautiful and consistent. I wasn't a big fan of the dark silhouette shot because it didn't seem to fit (color-wise) with the rest. For a first save the date I thought you did awesome.

Thanks Travis, appreciate you checking it out, I know I wouldn't even bother looking at the pc after a shoot. :)

good pick on the silhouette, I was back and forward with the shot so you make a good point about fitting.

great work

Hey Peter

Really liked the clip, great job on the colour grading, very consistent throughout, in concept the silhouette shot was good but as suggested don't know if it really had it's place, might have been a nice slomo closing shot with a dip to black??? Just my opinion though.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you using for your colour grading, I tried magic bullets but for some reason could not get it to work with CS3 and Aspect HD, so looking for some alternatives.

Again - Well done!!

Cheers
Darren

Hi Darren

Thanks for the checking it out and the comments, I use Avid to edit which has powerful colour correct/grading tool, I sometimes layer my colour but in this one I didn't need to. I would recommend with CS3 to use the 3 colour wheel colour correction tool and layer it so you can control different aspect of the image, magic bullet is good but you can achieve all the same things with the stock tools so give it a try. Otherwise this is an alternative to magic bullet and seems pretty good and very cheap XSpro - Grading Presets - Premiere Pro*-*XSlimits - Advanced and professional video tools
