Cloud Nine Creative - 2008 Demo

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to pass along the link to a new Demo that I've finally found some time to cut after 3 years. I know it's been said before but it really IS worth the time it takes to try and cut one of these. Not only is it a great way to make an impression in a short amount of time for clients, but it really can remind you what you've shot in the past. For most of us I'm sure we forget some of the shots we already have in our portfolio!

Anyway, here it is... Cloud Nine Creative - 2008 Demo Reel

I still think Bruce has the best logo in the industry. Love that thing. Oh and the video is ok too.

The moment when the bride jumps into her hubby's arms for the first kiss... that was the coolest and cutest first kiss I've ever seen. Good moment.

Very Nice! I watched it all. You clearly showed each moment of the wedding day and a great variety as well. Keep up the good work.

Very impressive. Must have taken a lot of time to wade through all that footage...

Also good display of excellent steadicam technique.

Very difficult to find something that could be improved, but there were 1 or 2 shots where I didn't find the colour correction/grading optimal (e.g. 1:34 ) .

Excellent piece.

ps: At 1:03, was that a crane shot?

The stedicam work is what jumped out at me too, especially the running shots. Those were perfectly smooth. If I did that, my shot would be all over the place. Do you use a vest system?

Aw shucks, thanks Ethan! Thanks also for the comment on the jumping bride. That was one of those moments where I was like "thank you" b/c I knew it would be good later whenever I used it in an edit.

Thanks Ethan, most of the work was filmed with the Glidecam 4000 without the vest but I now shoot exclusively with the Glidecam 4000 + smooth-shooter/vest. The running shot of the bride towards the end and the couple at the end walking up the dock were all filmed using the smooth-shooter set-up and once I started filming with it late this year, I knew I couldn't go back to using it without the vest.
