I've been hanging around this forum for a while now and really appreciate all of the helpful information and and inspiration I get from the talented pros here. Thought it's about time to post some of my own work for critique:

John thanks for posting and sharing. I enjoyed the piece- it was very unique with your choice in music. It forced a more upbeat quirky edit rather than a slow cinematic approach- I like that. If I could nit-pick two things it would be
1) Complete lack of nat. audio; I would have liked to hear people speaking, laughing, applauding etc it gives the piece more warmth and less of a cold commercial/music video feel a lot of work shared seems to exhibit.
2) Reception lighting- I would avoid shooting with an on camera light at all costs. It creates flat lighting and a spotlight effect in your wides.

Otherwise, great job and good job thinking outside the box musically!

PS What cam(s) were you shooting with?

I gotta say the music is not my style .. but I'm open-minded so I didn't let that bother me. Oddly enough the couple and your edit seemed to fit the music just fine, so nice job. There were a number of shots that were a bit too shaky I thought. It's one thing to have odd camera movement that compliments the edit, but those shots just looked shaky to me. Just something to work on maybe. Coloring was consistent.

Thanks guys for checking it out. I can't take the credit (or blame depending on how you look it at) for the music - client's choice. But Travis, you're right, their personality fit their music choices.

Thanks for the tip on camera movement and lighting -- Glen, how do you handle really dim reception venues? I hate the spotlight effect, but often have trouble getting enough light into the camera. I have a softbox for my AB toplight, and even that knocks down the light too much sometimes. Maybe I need to get a dimmer.

I shot this wedding with a couple of XH-A1's -- first wedding with the cam.

Nice to see something different!

And frankly, I didn't see any shaky shots, at least not to the point where it attracts attention.
