DVD Studio Pro Issue
 

I'm using DVD Studio Pro to create dvd menus and output to disc. When I first started using the program I would export videos from Final Cut Pro as Quicktime files and figured it would work fine. However, while trying to import the videos as an asset, Studio Pro would give me an error message saying the file is the wrong format.

The way I worked around this is to export the videos as a quicktime/FCP file. The file was accepted since it wasn't a .mov file made solely for quicktime.

Yesterday I tried to export a video using Default H.264 for DVD Studio Pro.mov. Studio Pro again said it wasn't an acceptable format. How can a file made for Studio Pro not work in Studio Pro? I am so confused.

I think you are assuming if you edit in fcp that you can just drop the file in Studio Pro. I normally export the quicktime file out of fcp and encode for dvd using compressor.
