Me too. I use them three times before I throw them out. Final Cut has yet to tell me I've had a drop out.

I have probably used 30 of them... all were fine EXCEPT ONE. I got half way through the tape and it hung up. The camera said tape had ended... would not play would not record. Just threw me for a loop. I figured there was a camera problem but alas... I have been recording and using other tapes on same camera without fail for over a year now.

Note: I could not rewind or fast forward the tape on location. When I got home I did some workbench engineering on it until I could get it to rewind. I got what little usable video was on the tape and thanked GOD for all I could. ;-)

PS: I too have the policy of never using a tape more than once. So this was a brand new tape... not a reused one.

I also use new tapes never reuse

I am paying $8.60 per tape sony pro 60min and now they have gone up to $11 with the fall of the Aussie dollar. Cameras have gone up 30%. Sony Z7 from $7200 price rise $10,500 ouch

I guess its the perfect time for everyone to take a holiday here in Australia it's a bargin at the moment.

I've used almost nothing else. I'm sure I've used at least 150 - 200 of them.

But now I'm considering a policy of reuse. Someone brought up a good point on a previous thread that you've got a perfectly good tape that is proven to work. Why would you not use it? These tapes are designed to be reused dozens if not hundreds of times.
