Indislider 24" or 36" ?

Hey guys,
I'm thinking of buying an IndisliderPro mostly for using at Wedding shoots?
I can buy the 24" or the 36".
I think the 36" wheighs too much and is too big to carry around a lot for wedding shoots, but I haven't seen or felt an Indislider myself.
What is your advice ?

Advice?

Skip indislider.

Look at Glidetrack regular or pro for some lighter weight, more effective solutions with better support behind them.

Check out cinevate's new pegasus or carbon system for a linear bearing option that is very smooth, but needs to used on a flat surface or with two stands (depending on weight, you can get away with one with the glidetrack).

I second the glidetrack. Still to use it in a production (Saturday) but been playing and very happy, very solid device yet very portable.

Any slider would seem sort of big and bulky at a wedding. Why not get a steadicam or glidecam? But those tend to cost more then a slider. The Varizoom DV Media rig is good though it's just a shoulder mount that has a built in shock absorber. I used one and it's comfortable for long hours and is gives a tripod/glidecam feel because of the suspension rod.

Best,
Andy

I own the 36" and i'm glad I went with the longer. I don't know anything about the glidetrack, but my biggest gripe with the indislider is the weight, but that could be a good thing because it's sturdy as hell. However I can vouch for Cinevate as being some if the highest in quality stuff out there.

The glidetrack really is quite portable. Very light but still sturdy. You can easily carry it around and sits nicely on a table top.
