Time for Video....

Frist of all, please forgive my English. I am working on it!

In two recent weddings, something interesting happened.

The first one. There was a photo session after the ceremony and we are paid to record that. Normally, during a photo session, photographer will run the whole thing and us(videographer) will stand on a side or behind to record the session. But this time, after photographer finish a set and plan to move to next location, the couple asked us was there something we want to shoot. I don't know you guys but for us, we've never been ask something like that! We were so happy and manage to do a few sequence. This time, the photographer was shooting behind our back.

The second one. We also tag along with photographer to record a photo session. After the photo session, the couple came to us and wanted to do a video session. We took them (without the photographer) to walk around the garden for half hour and did a beautiful session.

These things were never happen to us. There was only photo session or location photo. However, it seems this time the couple are paying more respect and attention to video. The reason could be people are getting use to video or our price are more expensive than the photographer(in those two cases), but I personally believes that its because of you guys. Those wedding videographers trying so hard to improve themselves, try out new technology and share their experience with others. I hope more changes will come to us and someday, I can set package with a "video session".

That happened to me too few times. Couple wanted me to shoot few "action" scenes - not just posing for the pics. So at some point of the photo shoot they thanked the photog and told him that it's a video time now. Photog wasn't happy at all. I was proud of my customers. In return they received very nice and interesting DVD. :-)

That is something different, I wouldn't mind having some alone time with the couple.
