Video hosting
I just finished editing a wedding video highlight in Standard Definition and would like to know if there's a place I can post it for my client (for 60 days). I don't currently have a working website.
They've requested that I secure it, with password access. I want to use Vimeo, but don't think the have the capacity for a 10 minute cut. Finally, I'm willing to pay for the service. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Clarence PS: Edited on Premiere Pro 2.0, with Matrox video card. |
Vimeo will work for what you need, load up anything you want up to 2GB per file if you are a paying customer, with password protect.
You can also try SmugMug Photo Sharing. Your photos look better here. It says photo sharing however Smugmug also host videos, many people are using this service 2nd to Vimeo. I'm with Vimeo. |
Hi Clarence,
Vimeo sounds as if it is what you are looking for....Youtube limits you to 10 mins but Vimeo lets you put any length clip up as long as its is not over the weekly limit of 500mb... They also have a Privacy function which you can set so only those you want to see the clip can do so... I've just uploaded my first HD clip and the quality is pretty good. cheers Gareth |
Vimeo
Thanks for the responses. I'll look more closely at Vimeo. I didn't think they held videos the length I'm looking for.
Now I'll have to figure out how to get them up with good quality. The previous ones had some strange horizontal lines when there was too much motion. Clarence |

Vimeo's great but read your use agreement carefully. Post there and you've given them a bunch of rights to what you've uploaded. I need to get a review copy of a 20 minute project to a client 4 hours away and wanted an on-line option, but Vimeo's licensing makes that a non-starter for me. Snail mailing a DVD is probably the best option for me. |
I like Exposure room and Smugmug, Vimeo here in Russia suffers from inadequate badndwidth, I believe, can wait for long time before video loads, also quality, colors and inferior, imho.

Vimeo
Thanks again everyone for your responses. This place is the best!!!

For your use you can protect if with a password so that only you and your client have access. |
Video posting
I would use this company
iPlayer Just found them and started using them and there video is hands down better than the rest. It is larger and just looks better . You can also talk to a real person . |
Try vimeo. I posted a 30 minute wedding in 3 parts of 10 min each
