Hi guys.

I'm sort of new here (in and out). Usually hang out at videouniversity but things are just not pleasant there lately.

The discourse here looks great, and I hope to learn from you all and also offer any help I can.

Here is the intro to a wedding. It ends where the processional is about to begin.

After seeing Glen's I really need to get some rolling cloud shots. Those look awesome Glen!

I and my GL2s were on the other side of the moat the entire time. Gotta love that zoom!

That and the mini disc recorders. The GL2's have too much gurgling water on the audio track.

Hi Cesar, very nice clip! I love it! Which SteadyTracker you are using? The Lite one or the Xtreme one? I can't afford to get the Xtreme one. How is it different than the Glidecam Pro 2000? You use SteadyTracker more or tripod? I would like to do something like yours. I have a wedding to shoot this Saturday...actually, my first wedding video with my GL2.

Alex, very nice job with the photo montage.

I use the SteadyTracker Ultralite.

The SteadyTracker (unlike the Glidecam, or Steadicam Jr.)
does not have a gimbal. Your wrist is the SteadyTracker's
gimbal. It takes practice to have your wrist do this.

Running around with cups of water helps this become second nature. Ummm, just make sure you do so outside.

Liked the video Cesar. Where did you source the music from? Is it royalty free? I wouldn't mind using it on some of my weddings.
I loved the throwing of the jackets shot, although i did notice a continuity fault, unless that was deliberate, (man in the white jacket changes places on the close up shot), but overall a very nice idea.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Glen, the music that I use for my clip is a classical piece "Canon" but it is performed by Bond in a comtempoary style.

Yep, I know the continuity fault you're referring to.
I had them do it twice. Once for the wide shot and then
for the medium shot. However, they lined up differently
the second time.

Oh well. I just let it go. I avoid direction as much as
possible. I only do it for these little types of shots and
then if and only if they jump on the idea when presented
to them, or if they had seen it in a demo and specifically
requested it.

My rule of thumb is to never spend more than 15 seconds
doing a staged shot, and to avoid more than 1 retake
unless it is *absolutely* necessary (i.e. the shot was specifically
requested and I know it will look bad).

Yes Cesar, the music from your clip is by "Enya", I am a big fan of her! The track is called "Memory of Trees".

Good work Cesar. I liked how most of the clips were fairly short and close up shots. Plus, just about all the shots had motion which kept the images flowing.
