embedding video in your post

hi guys,

just a newbie question

how do you embed video on your post in here? i've seen people putting their video from vimeo and it is embedded in their post. I tried putting in the html embed code and it didn't work.

anyone?

thanks

Santo

It's okay to post a link to your blog -- all I ask is that in addition, you please post a direct link to the Vimeo URL in order to embed the player directly into the post, in order to keep eyeballs on our site. Thanks in advance,

Hi Chris -
I think you don't need to worry TOO much about losing eyeballs - since you've always had things set to launch a new window for links, I am always able to go out, see what the poster wanted me to see, close the window, and be right back all warm and cozy on DVi <wink>!

Sure appreciate that, Dave... embedding the Vimeo player directly into a forum post also increases the overall time spent on site, so that's the other added advantage. We're looking at integrating Vimeo a bit deeper into DV Info Net as well; more about that in the near future. Thanks,
