Anyone who has used H4N, have they physically connected a camera such as 5D or 7D. If so, I would love to know the extra adapters/methods you used

physically in the sense of a way to have the two physically attached together to move them more freelly or phisically in the sense of having a cable between the two to get the sound recorded in the dslr?

What i meant was you can hook wireless mic to your dslr camera and then mount via hot shoe. Is there a way to do that with h4n for a camer a that's on tripod

This is how I do it. With a show mount to 1/4-20 adapter, and a clamp to hold the receiver. Works great!

I shoot with a T2i, and am currently using a two-pronged adapter on my hot shoe for my shotgun mic and external light. Has anyone come up with another place to mount (or attach) the H4N so that it is connected physically but not getting in the way? Since I use the light so little, it may be that I just have to take it off and buy one of the ebay adapters above and mount it that way.

On a somewhat off-topic note, I am using Magic Lantern with my T2i, and am trying to work on getting better audio. I have a Rode NTG-2 shotgun mic that I like, but the signal is too low, I believe because it is an XLR mic and I'm using an XLR/3.5mm adapter. It's been recommended that I get a juicedlink CX231 box. Can a H4N do most of what the CX231 does, or is there very little overlap? I can already disable AGC through Magic Lantern. The setup I'm envisioning is either shotgun-juicedlink-t2i or shotgun-H4N-T2i.

There are various brackets you can use to get the H4n off centre - and any other device for that matter.

Here's an example I've used from time to time:

In that setup I have not connected the H4n to the 5DII, but I can do using a cable, preferably attenuated, from the H4n's line out to the camera's mic in, e.g. from Pinknoise Systems if in the UK:
DSLR, PINKNOISE AUDIO CABLE, CANON 5d mk11, CANON AUDIO CABLE, -25DB AUDIO CABLE

There are all manner of short brackets on Ebay and in camera shops to help stack several devices at the same time. Another good one from Greenlife-style on ebay is this:
