sennheiser g2 bank setup

Hi guys,

I used the g2 last weekend and got interference with the celebrant's wireless mic. We had 2 pairs of G2. one goes to camera for the groom and the other goes to zoom h4n to the celebrant.

This is what i did:

I scanned for free frequency on my receiver and found it, when I adjust the frequency on my transmitter. It is still getting interference, so I kept on re-scanning for free frequency. i thought I had a good one, but apparantly not. I wasn't monitoring the zoom throughout the ceremony because i had an olympus on top of the celebrant's speaker so I had pretty good backup (3 good sources + onboard mics).

I just realised now when editing that the sound from the celebrant lapel mic connected to the zoom got so many interference... the other one connected to the groom was fine though. Good thing the olympus pretty much picked up everything nice and clear from the celebrant's speaker.

I read about the bank setup from google, but don't really understand what it is about.

Can anyone run me over how to setup good g2 mic on weddings? I'm crap with audio and never had proper training.... just barely survived with whatever I had... lol

Thanks so much in advance

Santo

Santo,

you should also ask Dave... or I'm sure George or one of the other audio specialists in the assocaition would be able to help.
