DVD Burning hiccup?

I know this might belong more in the technical forum, but I figured since I'm working on a wedding DVD right now and some of you guys use the same stuff I'm using, I thought I would see if you've ever run into this problem...

I use DVD studio Pro on my Mac Pro tower to burn my DVDs. However, about every third or fourth DVD, I get a formatting error message, and I basically have to trash that DVD. And I can count on it pretty regularly -- I did a dance when I burned five in a row without problems.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Is it a possible problem with DVDSP? A problem with the DVD's I'm using? A problem with my burner?

Any educated responses or shots in the dark are welcome.

Excuse the double posts, as I'm new at this thing.

I use dvd studio pro to build my menus and I use compressor to encode my assets. I use toast to actually burn the dvd. Toast will burn mutiple dvds as batch and seems very reliable. I just use the build function in dvd studio pro and then burn the video ts files in toast.
