Poker - Hole Cam

I'm interested in shooting a tournament style poker game and I need some info on the hole card cam.

Does anyone know what kind of camera would work well for this purpose? I have no knowledge of lipstick cameras and so forth, so I could use any info you've got.

thanks,

THCK

i wonder if they are using those x10 cameras... i used them a long time ago, rigging them to nintendo gameboy screens for a game testing department so the testers don't kill their eyes testing gameboy games for 8 - 12 hours a day.

There really isn't a go-to brand for lipsticks. They all suffer from low light issues because of the lens size, but they also get you the shots that you need. If this is a pilot type production just get one that fits your budget and cut it into the mix.

If you spend a little money they have better low light than any camcorder. Some black and white ones can even see in infrared and most of them have 1/3 or 1/2 inch chips. I've even seen a highdef one (well it's not a lipstick but it is a security). It would have to manual white balance though if it's a color one because the ones with auto make the picture unwachable, it just is always searching for the correct balance. Keep in mind though I'm talking about 200 or more dollars though.
