Copyrights for Videos of Musical Performances of Schools, Community, & Professionals

I have read most (all?) of the threads on DVInfo.net regarding copyrights of musical performances. I'm dealing choirs, wind bands, orchestras, solo recitals, etc. for clients ranging from individual students to fully professional groups.

We know that Performance Rights are required for performing the piece.
We know that Mechanicals are required for distributing the audio recording.
But what about the video...

-- Do Synch rights come into play when creating a video of your own performance? From what I can tell, Synch rights are for synchronizing an existing copywritten audio recording to a video. However, for all my projects, the client owns the audio recording, since they have paid either me or a separate audio engineer to make it.
-- What additional rights, if any, are needed for posted to YouTube a performance that had its Performance Rights? In this thread, I note that BMI does not seem to require any additional licensing: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/wedding-...nd-videos.html But are they even correct/current?
-- What additional rights, if any, are needed for selling DVDs of a performance? Are Mechanicals (like I would do for a CD) sufficient?

Thank you in advance for your responses.
