For the right people with sufficient needs, this sucker looks way cool !!!!

I went to the page and checked out the price, now I think I am not one of those people though. :-(

Wouldn't it mostly be limited to reception use, when considered by the wedding videographer ???

It's good but maybe I should do some hand-made adjustments to my Omni-tracker in order to put a tripod on it! :)

Ever wonder why a TV studio floor is smooth and level? Ever wondered why Dollies and Peds are very heavy and often have a large wheel-base? In order to run a Dolly/Ped across a floor without the shot uncontrollably jiggling over bumps, dips and knots.

Next time you're at a reception or event look at their parque or concrete floor, or the floor of the picturesque 14th Century church (or even a modern church building floor for that matter) ask yourself if this thing can glide as smoothly as you see it supposedly doing so in the promotional video.

Not worth the money or the effort for what still is a live event recording, not unless I can rehearse the shots and the actors first.

:)

Actually, Claire is right on the money. It does have an option for 8 inch wheels, but that is even more expense.

Very cool for using in production but I would never use this at a wedding in a million years. I bet my glidecam is smoother on the dance floor than this thing. Secondly, it is a huge, huge distraction and old school looking. I would never use that, twirling around on the dance floor, roller skate style, for the first dance is out of the question.
