That funky damaged film transition...

Hey guys,

I'm trying to find a downloadable clip - hopefully with Alpha channel that I can use to replicate that funky burnt/damaged film transition I believe is on some Mac plugin. I'm using CS5 on PC and can't find any plugins that look like it. Any ideas?

It's the one that kind of burns orange/white at the sides and flashes randomly etc.

There are some free clips here:

Digital Cinema Foundry – Learning resource in the field of digital cinematography – Free “Film Burns” exclusively here!

It works the same as the ArtBeats footage: Place a chunk over your transition point and change its composite mode to "screen". You can experiment with short dissolves between the clips until it looks right. Using an "additive" dissolve can also add a little more punch to the transition.

Hi John,

You can make your own film clutter.
just light a fire, and shoot with a macro.
thanks,
