Hi Gary, yeah it's been the rage for quite a while now. I've owned a 5DII since they were released but didn't start shooting my events with these cams till last season. Even know I don't shoot "every" wedding with them.

After your search- if you have any specific questions about the workflow and/or getting around the shortcomings of DSLR shooting for events please let me know and I'd be more than happy to try and address them.
