Recommendation for way to carry lenses?
 

Right now for run and gun I typically keep a 50mm on my tripod, a 20mm in a belt-looped case, and a 70-200 in a case that goes over my shoulder. I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to carry two cases and maybe an extra body/lens. I don't want to just carry another body/lens around my neck - I'd rather have it and a QR plate ready to go if needed. Does anyone have a recommendation for a product like this? I checked out bhphotovideo some but didn't see anything that spoke to me. I wondered what other videographers were using.

I use a stubby holder with a dogclip attached when mobile. If you don't know, a stubby holder is what keeps your beer can cold, made of wetsuit rubber. It then hangs using the dogclip from your belt. Works great!
And if you have two of these, you can use the spare for what it was primarily designed for....

I just gaff taped a few big gulp cups from 711 to a shoelace tied around my waist. The 44 ounce works great for a 70-200, throw some napkins in there as padding.

Joking aside, I use a regular home depot work belt with a few different sized lens pouches, I also have a lindcraft AC pouch for lens cleaner/ batteries. Very easy to customize to your needs/shoot.

I mainly record bike races with the Canon XA10 on a tripod and the DSLR around my neck and I'm moving around a street course a lot.

Last event I used a "ThinkTank Change-up" bag, which is amazing because it can be carried in multiple ways (hip, hip+support straps or shoulder), and a "Think Tank Lens Changer 75 Pop Down V2.0 Belt Pouch" which attaches to the change-up slide rail on either side and will hold the 70-200 with the hood attached. The bag holds a flash, 2-3 lenses, batteries and all the other stuff I'd need to do a shoot. If I'm moving around then I can carry 2 lenses and put the body in the bag.

I use a Black Rapid RS7 to shoulder the DSLR. Hope that helps.

I have viewed some interesting shoulder bags on the Think Tank site. I own a couple of rolling Think Tank bags, but I just wasn't sure which shoulder bag would be a good fit for me. I don't live near a dealer that carries the full line, so I took a gamble on a bag from eBay and it works great and was very affordable.

It has a large interior area tha will hold a second body, 70-200 etc. It also has a small zipper pouch inside that is great for spare cards, batteries, etc. The big advantage for me was two outer pockets that are just under the outer flap. These are large and deep pouches that are big enough to hold the 70-200.

So you can easily have 3-4 lenses, extra body, light...whatever you need and it's all on my shoulder, which I like better than hanging off of a belt around my waist, best of all, it's affordable.
