Rode - smartlav ?

Hi all.

I am currently using some zoom H1s with giantsquid mics...however i have seen for sale the new rode lav mics, which seem to only work with ipods/iphones and some android devices...at a very CHEAP price.

Has anyone tried this budget mic (from a world class company) on a zoom or equivalent ? i cannot find anywhere on the web that will tell me yes or no (and if no, why not) if it will work as a mic for a digi recorder.....

The giantsquids are "ok" but look a little homemade for my liking and something from rode is bound to be a lot better (especially customer servce etc).

Thanks,
