and that's why I love my Bogen (Manfrotto) 3246 legs. With the center column raised and the extender legs lowered I can get 8 feet in the air. Problem is I have no way to get up there and frame properly. I have to stand on a chair but it eliminates the problem of people standing in front and blocking the shot!
