It looks like a nice lens & here is a review with photos
Panasonic Leica DG Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 ASPH. Lens Preview

but… "The lens will be available for £1,399 from March 2014." This will be far & away the most expensive MFT lens yet.

Eek!!! Now that's more than a little to steep for me. I will bash on with my Nikon 50mm f1.2.

Not expensive if you compare to what you pay for quality Canon glass, 45mm F1.2 AND stabilized is quite unique. Would be great for handheld eyecandy shots at weddings. If I can spare the cash I"m getting it.

$1600 is CHEAP compared to real Leica glass.

Re: Panasonic new lens

It seems they are putting in a lot of effort in designing, and perfecting these high speed primes lately.
How about something that is really needed like a 12-70mm F2 constant aperture, AF, stabilized 4/3 ???
I am sure they cam make that, it's not like asking for one in F1.4 or 1.2.
Wake me up when you see one on dealer's shelves.
