welcome to the board..
first and foremost, Avid is overkill for weddings IMO. For straight cuts, its brilliantly perfect, but u dont sell weddings with straight cuts or the brand type of NLE u use... despite what people think..
From memory, i believe Avid have a filter plugin package (which should have ocome with express pro dv), but in this case, if ur an Avid freak and dont want to move from the "avid" name, i would actually recommend Liquid. Its actually alot mroe powerful than Avid DV when it comes to tools, filters, efffects, transitions and output.
The crap thing about it is that it posesses your PC like a demon... I personally refuse to install it unti they sort out the background rendering and databasing file system naming issues (apparently V7 has fixed this but it still hasnt fixed the AC3 encoding names...), but for a straight turnkey system that does NOTHING else.. it wil lwork ok, but if u want ur PC to multitask, forget it..

Another option is PremPro2, Vegas 6 and Edius in no order of preference... .

I cant help with Avid coz i stoped using it when Vegas 4 was released about 3-4 years ago. IMO, Avid really is overkill...
