Bluetooth Wireless Mic

Hey guys,

On a whim, i purchases a HC-3 HDV camera from sony and along with it, I thought I try this bluetooth wireless mic from sony. Its the ECM-HW1. I'm actually throughly impressed with it. Although it has limitations such as a 100ft line of sight range and the transmitter sticks out like a sore thumb if you clip it to somebody, it sounds great. I used it as a backup to my UHF mics and I wouldn't mind using it as a regular part of my weddings. I can just set it up on a podium and go with it. Another limitation is that I think it only works with sony cameras. I'm not sure if it'll work on a FX1 though.

Thanks for the test run and feedback on that equipment. Real world tests like that are always useful for people interested in new equipment and how it can help a production.

No problem. Oh I forgot to mention that it connects to the hotshoe of the HC3. This is why I am not sure if it works with the FX1 cameras.
