Question for Glen or anybody else who does credit montages...

So I was just wondering after watching all those sweet credit scenes where do you guys put them in your finished DVD's.

Hi Nate,
I use them at the beginning of the video and then go into preps and so on. It really catches the attention of the viewer and lets them know that this isn't your typical wedding video. Greg has become the master of these. He has given me so much ideas that I stand out from everyone else in town.

Hey Nate,
Currently I put them in the end. The teenagers love it and like Jason it has given me a edge in the market down here for the type of events I film, and I give credit to Glen for inspiring me to take shot at it.

i use them at the front

in addition they run for about 2 to 3 minutes (depending on the dridal party)

a typical scenario is a customsed animated background, with all video footage overlaid, then i run a short sequence of about 5 to 10 seconds of each person doing something... anything.. from whenever they may be doing it of the whole day.. (be it reception, phtooshoot... etc etc just enough to show some character...

Then it cuts back to their cheesy lil jig for the camera, then freezeframe, then we pull out the parralax animated still composition (some call this ken burns effect, but this technique has been used long before anyone put their name to it...) and run their names underneath

then onto the next person

This is an effects driven monstrosity, lots of colour manipulaiton and compositing... and for about a 3 minute intro.. it could take abouta day or so to get the whole thing completed.. it takes ALOT of time..
