What do you carry on your person?
 

What do you carry on your person during a wedding video. By this I mean, you arrive with your gear in a bag/box/flightcase. You then decant what you intend using. You can't carry everything with you so....what are the key things you keep about your person as you shoot.

For me, I have a small belt bag in which I always have:-

Spare Battery
Spare Tape
Pen
Business Cards
Handheld Mic and lead
Lens Cloth
Mobile Phone (switched off)

extra tape
Spare batt. (sometimes depends on the shoot)
wallet w/ business cards
lens cloth
cell phone as well

I used to have it all in a small shoulder bag, but got rid of it as soon as I figured that I could fit it all in my pockets.

It depends upon where I am in the course of the shoot. I usually arrive on site with one camera in a factory road case, another camera in a wheeled tool box that has lots of room for accessories, a four wireless mic system in its own road case, another wheeled toolbox containing cable and tools, one light stand, and two tripods. In my local area security isn't much of an issue at most of the venues where ceremonies and receptions take place.

Once set up, I carry in pockets spare batteries, tapes, and lens cleaning materials. Business cards are always in my wallet. Everything else I might need is a few paces away.

When I was shooting with the GL1, it was easy to carry a few batteries in my pockets, wide angle adapter, and an extra tape. Pen and cards in my shirt pocket.

Now that I'm using an HD100 with anton bauer dionics, I need to carry a bag. I am thinking about those photographer's vests. They have pockets and room for everything.

Lucky You. Unless I had a rottweiller sitting on top of whatever, I wouldn't stand a chance....actually, the dog would probably get whipped as well. ;)

Alastair, there are nice looking ones, and I believe they even come in formal black ;)

One thing I make sure I have on me is a head cleaning tape. It has saved the day a couple of times now.

I learned the hard way to always bring a cloth or handerchief to clean the sweat out of my eyes on outdoor shoots in south Fl.
