one thing to note is to be VERY careful how your contract is worded.

ive had legal issues with timings of "first in first serve" so ive reworded my contract to ensure that my clients who are organised, arent affected by the clients who are not

In addition, the "errors and omissions excepted" clause can save ur ass
In addition to that, like an ISP, footnoting that "terms and conditions are subject to change without notice" can also assist with policing the contract, as sometimes, even though YOU do the right thing, the cient may not

These clauses serve to protect you in case you need to change how you approach a given situation. By being contracted, you are bound by the contract, however with these clauses, you have the freedom to amend anythign as is needed.

To give you an idea..
Ive been doing this for 6 years
My contract has been updated and changed almost every 6 months whenever a new issue comes to the fore. The ocntractis then updated to include or respond to said issue prior to it rearing its head again
My contract excluding the info i get from clients, is 4 pages
clients info is 2 pages
