Here goes another iriver thread :o)

Can anyone recommend anything else other iriver to capture audio, which i intend to use with an external mic for capturing weding vows.
I have give up looking and cant find anything useful, although the Zoom H2 looks quiet interesting.

Thanks Guys
Wayne

Either hold out for the H2 (May?) or invest in a wireless unit. You really should be monitoring the vows anyway. While it's true there's not much you can do if the groom's mic goes dead on the altar, at least you can make sure things are working properly up until the processional. Put an iRiver in his pocket 20-30 minutes before the ceremony and god only knows what he'll do to it before then.

Monitoring a wireless will also allow you to adjust the gain for a soft spoken bride who is sharing that mic. (But you need to be quick).

Thanks for getting back to me Rick.

I do use a wireless system at the moment, using the Rode NG2 with a wireless transmitter plugged into it which is then located down on the floor on a tiny tripod not to far from the Bride & Groom.
I was just a little worried if this fails i need some sort of back up.

Cheers
Wayne
