Separate video from audio

How do I separate the video from the audio in a single event.

Mike Kujbida August 6th, 2007 10:43 AM

Click the "Ignore Event Grouping" icon (shortcut is CTRL + Shift + U).
Remember to click it after the operation so it doesn't mess you up later on.

Thank you very much for the help.

Alternately, you can simply press "U" to "Ungroup" them.

. . . alternatively . .

When I want to audition, explore and CHOOSE away from the timeline, I do this within Trimmer. This ways I DON'T forget to re-group and get meself confuzzed with outta whack-sync work! I can select and elect JUST to move up to the main TL the audio I want. Now, this MAY not be the case here for you, but DO experiment with Trimmer.

Trimmer - use it, it is our "other" timeline-friend.

Grazie
