HDV Split Vs Vegas capture

HDV split .m2t files are performing poorly on my quad core in the Vegas preview (7d), Vegas captures run much more smoothly. I wish I had Sony DV Gate on my current PC, does anybody know if this can be downloaded?

Tony, have you tried using the HDVSplit .77b?

I just now tried captures with both HDVSplit and with Vegas and could detect no difference in framerate when doing dissolves, adding color correction, etc. Both utilities are told to split based on timecode.

I'm running Vegas7d.

I am using .77b but I'm not actually spliting the files, I'm capturing the tapes as one long file. Maybe that's causing the poor performance...

V7d can capture m2t as 1 single file. Check the vegas capture setting for scene split capture I guess...Hope it will help :)
