??I can't see how the effect looks until i render it??

is there a way that in sony vegas 6 that i can make it show how it looks on the preview screen without me having to render the whole thing.

im usually just working with adding B&W and im trying to get less grey and more solid blacks and whites.

Probably need to click the little circle like button in the preview window. This will either show you No effects, all effects, or split screen half and half. :)

Turn OFF "Split Screen View". It's the icon just above the preview screen that's a circle on a half dark half light background. There's a dropdown arrow beside it which allows you to pick the various modes. You apprently have it set to "Bypass Effects" and it's turned on.
