Another conversion/delivery problem...

I'm having trouble finding a good delivery medium for high quality, PlayStation 3 playable HD podcasting in the .mp4 format in Vegas 7.0e.

I'm using the built-in MainConcept encoder and can't use any other encoder as it would hit the bank.

I found a 720p60 encoding method but it taxes hard drive space and takes up possibly days of render time for possibly 30mins of video. It is rendering a .mov intermediate in the JPEG 2000 format, then using the Apple Quicktime encoder to create the .mp4... Not efficient and didn't even test it on a PS3...

I just thought about 1080i rendering from the MainConcept encoder. I made a test render and it renders fast and works... only in Vegas... VLC won't read it and Quicktime crashes.

Now what I ask is to render a 1080i .mp4 file using Vegas then run it on a PlayStation 3 to see if it plays properly. If it works, post the results here.
