If you are using Cineform files, try un-installing, then re-installing the Cineform software to see if that helps.

Somehow, with all these V8/cineform issues, an answer is out there somewhere, I have same problem, will run on one computer not on another, I say its V8, being brand new, having a conflict with cineform, V7 has no issues, I: have to use it to use cineform Neo, otherwise with V8 its only m2t.

Stephen, how's it going?

I've enjoyed your postings and work in the 1Ds forum at dpreview over the years. I didn't realize that you were getting into HD video. Do you see that as a natural progression, or just something new to do?

It seems that there is a LOT of overlapp between photography and videography, but the post production side is quite different.

I started to see that I wanted to show more motion and sound at times, and video is the way to do it. I am mainly doing commercials and music videos. A few are trying to talk me into movies or at least a short or sitcom/drama, but it just seems to take way too long for my attention span.

Magic Bullet will crash my vegas8 as well as saved cineform avi clips, I am beginning to wonder whether V8 was really ready to be put out to the public, some users have no problems, but reading all the forums alot of users have alot of various problems. Did Sony change that much in the code?

Try updating you're Cineform to the latest Version. I just reinstalled mine before installing Vegas 8...No problems. I use XPPro 64 edition with the Microsoft Framework 3.0 x64 and not x86.
