how do you loop a menu in vegas pro 8?

how do i go about make a looping videoclip to play during the menu sections of my dvd. i'm doing football games (i'm a coach/father) and i thought that it would look good playing a highlight clip during the menu part. can this be done?

i can set a still photo for the back ground but no such luck on the looping clip.

respond in laymen's terms please, as i'm just starting out in video editing.
i did a quick search and all the replies i saw were from 5 years ago in the wedding section.

thanks, gerald

This is from today (not 5 years ago-althought IIRC this has been discussed a few times since but anyway) and should work.

FIRST in DVDA goto the "project Overview" tab and right click on the disc art the top of the pane (on new project it shows as 'untitled'-there is a spot in the menu that says insert introduction media click on that-pick the media you want as the first play media and then go to the properties tab set the END ACTION to LOOP and have it loop to itself that way when it runs out it will automatically return to itself and continue to play. If properly edited it will be seamless.

Speaking of the DVDA menu, is there a way to create a DVD menu movie with the text buttons appearing in it, and then creating hot spots on the actual menu?

You can create "empty buttons" that you can put over specific areas and point wherever you wish.

Of course...thanks Edward!
