Pro Tools to Sony Vegas/Nuendo
 

Hi folks,

I've been asked to do the audio dubbing for a short which is currently in Pro Tools. I'd like to do it in Vegas as that's what I'm most familiar with. Initially I got an OMF from Pro Tools which Vegas doesn't handle but it went into Nuendo ok (kind of) only problem is that there were lots of little blips where (I assume) there were supposed to be fades... I'd prefer to do it in Vegas anyway.

Has anyone had experience of outputting AAF files from Pro Tools to Vegas and is there any specific settings I need to make sure the Pro Tools guy exports with? I assume you can specifiy exporting with handles and is it best to get him to take off any Pro Tools fades or will they transfer ok? Or if anyone has experience of Pro Tools to Nuendo exporting using OMF or AAF then let me know about them so i can at least get the project to Nuendo cleanly.
