3D vegas

I am using the 3D compositing stuff, and I am eventually going to have over 30 images in the timeline doin their thing. as far as I know, to control each image seperately, I have to put it on an individual track, so that means I am going to have 30 tracks just for the images alone...is there a way to compress these down, other than rendering it, and using the rendered file?

before anyone asks, yes, I thought about trying it on one track, but I need the images to almost overlap each other (think the new ipod touch, how the images are all on the screen, and one pops out at you).

anyone have an idea to make the workflow a little smoother?

I've got a good bit of experience with this stuff.

You can nest various sections of 3D in a veg file but it doesn't render as quickly when nested.

but a little off topic you can take and child various sections to a parent track and just minimize those sections so that it's more visually easily sorted but also if you make the parent track set to 3D at both that track level and the far left setting to 3D and you can then use that far left 3D Trackmotion can move the entire set of child tracks that are placed in 3D as a 3D group where they can interact with each other.
